Patrick Armbruster
Cut his teeth as an intrepid young photographer of action sports in the mid 90’s, quickly earning him a reputation landing him a Senior Staff Photographer position in Europe’s biggest snowboard magazine that created the need for constant global travel with the best snowboard athletes in the world.
Soon afterwards, his photography expanded into contributing a myriad of sport, lifestyle and fashion magazines. Not satisfied with photography alone, he launched 'Absinthe Films’ the first full budget 16mm European Film Production company that has been core accepted as one of the leading film productions worldwide for the past 20-years.
In 2010 his business partner and him built an architectural award winning house in the jungles of Brazil, which turned into kabrubrazil.com – a one of a kind tropical get-away consisting of two boutique hotels, merging luxury with the wild beauty of nature.
Through this project, Patrick discovered his passion for architectural photography, which has since become a key focus of his current work. He now collaborates with hospitality and real estate brands both in Switzerland and internationally.
In 2022 Patrick produced and released his own coffee table book:
BARELY MADE IT - An inside story about the heady years of snowboarding.
A 340 pages book featuring his analog images that documented the snowboard scene in late 90s & 00s - on and off the mountain.
Patrick’s photography has an authentic and natural approach - documenting the adventurous & beautiful.
