Engadin - frozen sunset

from CHF 690.00

I have a special connection with the Engadin valley. Ever since I met Michi Albin around 1995, I’d spend a fair amount of my seasons here. When people ask me which mountains, resort I like the most, I usually answer: If you have a good season in Engadin, nothing beats it. This shot was taken at the end of a shooting day with Fredi Kalbermatten and Stefan Gimpl on Corvatsch in January 2003. I remember it being so cold that only being out of my gloves for 1 minute while changing my 16mm film roll, it felt like I had already frozen my fingers off. The picture reveals it: It’s very unique that you have dark frozen lakes – no snow fall between the freezing.
