After releasing Vivid in 2002—which propelled our film company, Absinthe Films, into the same league as Standard Films and Mack Dawg Productions—we headed straight into the next season. We kicked things off in Fredi Kalbermatten’s home resort of Saas-Fee, enjoying three weeks of perfect conditions even before the season had officially begun, well ahead of Christmas. Fredi guided us to some incredible spots, and our crew included Gigi Rüf, Romain de Marchi, DCP, JP Solberg, and Trevor Andrew.
Here, Fredi is hiking along a ridge with Saas-Fee’s iconic Dom in the background—the highest mountain located entirely in Switzerland, standing at 4,545 meters.
