Nicolas Müller - The 18. birthday road gap

from CHF 690.00

The last filming trip of our very first year filming our first movie TRIBAL in 2000 took us to Riksgränsen. It was Nicolas Müller’s first trip with me. When we left Zurich he was 17 and his dad gave me the look: make sure to take good care of my son! For one week we were just sledding around in foggy and snowy conditions. Building jumps, hoping it would finally clear. We saw a potential opening on the day of our departure and postponed our flight by one day. When we opened the curtains at 6 in the morning it was blue sky. Within 6 hours Dani Sappa, Nicolas, and me rallied from one spot to the next. Both landed a few tricks on each jump we had built during the week. When the clouds moved back in and we came back to the hotel we found this pre-built road gap that was just sitting there sort of as birthday gift…turned out this last day shooting was Nicolas’ 18. birthday. After getting a few shots there as well with my 16mm cam I snapped a few stills before we called it a successful trip and end of the season, celebrating Nicolas’ birthday on the 25. of April 2000. Nicolas’ footage from that day ended up being his entire first movie part ever.
