Thomas 'Beckna' Eberharter - Japanese powder

from CHF 690.00

During the filming of our very first snowboard movie, TRIBAL, we also traveled to Japan. At the time, I was still a senior photographer for Europe’s Onboard magazine. Therefor I always brought both my 16mm film and my analog still camera up on the hill—challenging at times, but always worth it.

The powder riding in those Japanese forests is simply magical. The sun rarely comes out, but here Beckna drops the anchor perfectly in this tiny sun patch.

One of my favorite powder-turn images I’ve ever shot.
